An OUDC Social Justice Fellow never leaves our community.
On Sunday, OUDC invited Fellows from Class 28 to join us at George Mason University campus to receive advice and assistance in the next phase of their high school journey — the college application process. About a dozen volunteers — including OUDC alumni, parents, staff members, Board members and George Mason undergraduates — gave up part of their Sundays to sit with these high school seniors to review their application essays and provide constructive comments, and to provide practice and tips in interviewing techniques.
Our very talented Fellows are looking at bright futures, and we hope that our advice helps speed them on their way. And we hope College Day becomes a permanent part of our program.
